USA Basketball Announces 2024 Men's National Team

Mens National Team take on Canada at T-Mobile Arena

LAS VEGAS — Playing in their first game together in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics, the US Men's basketball team defeated Canada 86-76 in a thrilling exhibition match at T-Mobile Arena.

The game was a rematch of the 2023 FIBA World Cup semifinals, which Canada won 95-92. The US team was looking to avenge that loss and they did so in impressive fashion, leading by as many as 20 points in the second half.

The US team was led by Jayson Tatum, who scored 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Other key contributors included Damian Lillard (20 points), Stephen Curry (17 points), and Ja Morant (16 points).

Canada was led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 23 points. Andrew Wiggins added 17 points and Jamal Murray scored 15 points.

The US team will continue their preparations for the Olympics with four more exhibition games before heading to Paris. They will play Spain on July 12, Italy on July 14, France on July 16, and Australia on July 18.

Canada will also continue their preparations for the Olympics with four more exhibition games. They will play Argentina on July 12, Brazil on July 14, Nigeria on July 16, and Germany on July 18.
